Chicago Public Schools, comprised of 90 percent minority students and 36 percent English language learners, assessed 12,000 students in pre-K – 3 in a variety of areas using the Test of Phonemic Awareness, Test of Invented Spelling, Test of Written Spelling, Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test, and a pre-K checklist. Students who received instruction with Earobics achieved significant gains in phonemic awareness, phonics, decoding and spelling, vocabulary, and auditory memory.
